Let’s Pick My Car vs ZigWheels: Which Should You Use?

By Prasanna · Published · Updated

ZigWheels suits buyers who want news, reviews and prices for cars, bikes and scooters in one place. It is run by Girnar Software, the company behind CarDekho. Let’s Pick My Car is narrower: 100 popular new cars, with a variant-by-variant ladder, itemised on-road estimates for every state and a free dealer-quote review that never asks for a phone number.

Written by Prasanna, founder of Let’s Pick My Car, one of the two sites compared here. Our claims about ZigWheels come from ZigWheels’s own pages or published reports, linked below and checked in a browser on 19 October 2026. Prices on every site, including ours, change often, so recheck a figure before relying on it. We are not affiliated with ZigWheels, and ZigWheels did not review or pay for this article. ZigWheels and CarDekho: one group

CarDekho’s parent, Girnar Software, bought ZigWheels from Times Internet in 2015. The ZigWheels footer still names Girnar Software, and its privacy policy uses the same wording as CarDekho’s. That includes your consent to be contacted “even if Your number/numbers(s) is/are registered in the National Do Not Call Registry”. If you have used CarDekho’s offer forms, ZigWheels’ forms work under the same terms.

On the Creta page we checked, ZigWheels listed Bengaluru on-road prices from ₹13.89 lakh in a city table, and its prices were marked “Updated: October 2026”. The model page shows totals rather than a line-by-line breakup, so ask for line items whichever figure you start from.

On Let’s Pick My Car, no form asks for your phone number. Our privacy policy says we do not sell private quotation details or pass them to car dealers for marketing.

When ZigWheels is the better choice

  • You are also shopping for a bike or scooter.
  • You want news, launch coverage and reviews in one feed.
  • Your shortlist includes brands outside our 100 guides.
  • You want used cars in the same place.
  • You want dealers to contact you with offers.

Where Let’s Pick My Car helps more

  • Choosing the variant. Every car guide has a ladder of trims showing what each step adds, what it costs and how we rate it. For example, the Tata Punch Pure+ petrol manual adds an 8-inch wireless touchscreen, a reversing camera, seat-height adjustment and USB-C charging over the Pure for ₹52,000 ex-showroom, or ₹61,370 on-road in Bengaluru.
  • Feature verdicts. Each feature is marked essential, recommended, nice to have or skip, with a rough retrofit cost where an accessory can do the same job.
  • Every state. The state price comparison ranks an exact variant’s estimated on-road price across all 36 states and union territories.
  • Quote checking. The quote review reads a pasted or uploaded dealer quote and flags charges to question and extras you can drop. The quote library holds 122 historical buyer-shared quotes for comparison.
  • Dated sources. Each car guide lists where its prices and equipment came from and when they were checked.

Using both

  1. Use ZigWheels for news and a first look at the cars in your budget.
  2. For mass-market cars on your shortlist, pick the variant in our car guides.
  3. Get an itemised dealer quote and check it with our quote review before booking.
