- This guide covers the five-seat Hector. MG markets the seven-seat Hector Plus separately; its current Sharp/Savvy price-card conflict is not silently resolved using an old brochure. Hector Tomahawk EV/PHEV is also separate.
- The sales card uses reported Hector-family wholesale totals, including related Hector/Plus configurations where grouped by the source. It is not a five-seat or trim-level sales count; September remains unknown in the current archive.
- The current range reviewed here is petrol MT/CVT. Older diesel, DCT, Shine and six-seat offers are not assumed to be currently available.

A quick pre-delivery inspection (PDI) before you accept your car.
- Match the VIN, Hector variant, powertrain and paint on the vehicle against your order and invoice before accepting delivery.
- Inspect the clean car in daylight: paint, panels, glass, tyres, lights, seats and every promised accessory. Photograph concerns and get a written resolution.
- Ask the dealer to demonstrate a normal start, dashboard warning-light self-check, air conditioning, keys and the controls fitted to your variant.
