Developer API terms

Permitted use
The Free plan permits personal and commercial apps using our API outputs. Display “Data and tools by Let’s Pick My Car” with a link to letspickmycar.com where results are shown. Preserve relevant source links, dates, uncertainty and applicability notes. Bulk resale, rehosting the dataset and creating multiple accounts to bypass quotas are excluded. Access to factual outputs does not grant rights to third-party photography, brochures, articles or trademarks.
Credits and availability
The Free plan grants 50 credits on activation and on each monthly anniversary, without rollover. One successful bounded request costs one credit. All keys and connected apps share the account allowance. Failed requests are uncharged. We may suspend abusive access. This beta has no uptime guarantee or automatic paid overage. Credit packs and subscriptions are not available yet.
Estimates and accuracy
Our catalogue reflects the cited evidence and check dates, not guaranteed live stock or dealer pricing. On-road, energy and loan calculations are estimates based on the supplied assumptions. Check official documents, exact variants, registration eligibility and actual offers before a purchase. Do not represent unknown facts as confirmed or extend crash ratings beyond their stated scope.
Credentials and privacy
Protect your API keys and revoke compromised credentials. We store key hashes and retain operation names, timestamps, status, latency and credit usage for 90 days. For requests with an idempotency key, the result needed for safe retries is available for 24 hours; daily cleanup then removes expired records. Responses can include your calculation assumptions, so do not submit personal data. API access does not grant access to private purchases, quote reviews or PDI entitlements.
